Comparison of Cartilage Conduction Hearing Aid, Bone Anchored Hearing Aid, and ADHEAR: Case Series of 6 Patients with Conductive and Mixed Hearing Loss

Cartilage conduction hearing aids (CC-HA), bone anchored (Baha), and ADHEAR are good choices to improve in patients who cannot use air because of aural atresia or continuous otorrhea. As there many overlaps the characteristics these devices, we conducted a comparative trial CC-HA, Baha, ADHEAR. We provided with opportunity select their devices. The data 6 underwent trials our department between October 2021 August 2022 were retrospectively examined. gains Baha CC-HA outweighed those Regarding sound localization test, was no significant tendency for any Glasgow Benefit Inventory, clear among three devices quality life evaluation. most satisfactory model one subjectively chosen by patient, regardless gain score source test. Therefore, believe that it is necessary provide an consultation each patient process selecting device.
